Hosting Pioneering Boot Camp

This two day training is a dynamic time spent learning how to discover keys to a given campus, art of self and team leadership and focused outreach on campus. The basic material covered follows the 13 Behavioral Skills as revealed through Dr. Charles Ridley’s research. We like to say this is an “Orientation” to the pioneering process, since skills cannot be taught and developed in 2 days. By the end, each participant will have a clear set of questions that will guide them as they build their ministry team and get to know their target campus.

Details for hosting a Pioneering Boot Camp

WHO SHOULD ATTEND BOOT CAMP?

Approved Pioneers – Shortly after anyone that has been approved to pioneer or re-pioneer a campus they should go through the Boot Camp.  This early training will help in their strategic planning, support raising and team building processes.

Pioneering Teams30 to 60 days before launching on campus, an entire Pioneering Team should go through the training together. This catalytic time will help establish team chemistry, shared values and clarify first steps in building a discipleship based ministry from the ground up. This TEAM LAUNCH BOOT CAMP can be arranged just for their team and in their city!

Chi Alpha Interns (CMITs)– CMIT’s gain a unique picture of the dynamics of pioneering a campus. Helping them understand the dynamics of being a part of a pioneering team. This can prove to be a powerful time to build a vision and perspective in growing an existing ministry or pioneering a new campus.

Volunteers & Church Staff –  Those who want to be a part of establishing a ministry on campus can gain so much insight by being a part of the Boot Camp. This however, doesn’t replace REACH THE U or other necessary training to fully prepare a volunteer to plant a Chi Alpha chapter, as this training assumes attendees understand the core values and strategies of Chi Alpha.

COST FOR HOSTING A BOOT CAMP IS ONLY $75/person

The Chi Alpha Foundation makes hosting a Pioneering Boot Camp very affordable. The cost for each participant is only $75/person (spouses $50)! The fee covers the travel and personal needs of the instructor(s). We do ask that housing arrangements with a host family be made for the instructor, if possible. What is not included in the fee is meals for participants.
