XA Network Director
Terry Broadwater- XA Network Director
Terry Broadwater has been involved in church leadership for over twenty years as a Lead Pastor, church planter, consultant, and in a variety of district and national roles. Along with serving as the XA (Chi Alpha) Network Director, Terry is currently the Lead Pastor of Grace Community Church in Denver, Colorado, and serves on the national leadership team for the Church Multiplication Network. He has been instrumental in planting over 40 churches nationally and internationally and has also founded missional businesses that serve to create credible marketplace connections and business, intern XA grads and others for vocational and missional experience, and develop new funding paradigms for resourcing missional efforts. He is a conference speaker and has written several books.
Terry has been married to Jo Ann for 31 years and they have three children; Casey, a writer and photographer in Seattle, WA, married to Julianna, Corey, a graphic designer and media/worship director in Hagerstown, MD, married to Lauren, and Cayla, who will be a Junior at Colorado State University and a member of the track team.
Sending their last child off to college challenged Terry and Jo Ann to explore the campus life of emerging adults which, in turn led them, to not only embrace the ministry of Chi Alpha, but to join XA’s mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world! The result has been a new initiative called the XA Network. As the XA Network Director, Terry has developed an “exit strategy” for graduating XA students, that includes an online database system, enabling them to connect and network with church planters, churches, businesses/companies, and other such entities as they transition into the marketplace. With the advent of this strategy- something that has not existed in the 35 plus year history of Chi Alpha, there is the potential for a true movement of XA grads, alumni, and others, on mission in the marketplace, building authentic community and living out true relational discipleship, thus producing real marketplace transformation!
Terry is inspired by this statement from Aragorn in “The Lord of the Rings-The Return of the King”- “I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day… This day we fight!” Terry desires to see the XA Network become a movement of XA grads, business leaders, church planters, and others, motivated to transform the marketplace!
